Friday August 7th --Anderson's Blueberry Glean 8 a.m. Members and adoptees only.
Hours: Sunday, 2:00 – 3:00 PM
South Benton County Gleaners is a volunteer membership program for low income families, that help to feed the hungry by harvesting local food that would otherwise go to waste and distributing it back to our gleaner members.
Wood Share is also a component of our Gleaners program. Donated firewood is cut, collected, and shared among Gleaner members who need wood as a fuel source.
A unique feature of this program is that gleaner volunteers are able to share the food and firewood that they harvest with “adoptees” or those people who cannot physically glean food or firewood but still have needs for one or both.
South Benton County Gleaners program is affiliated with the Linn Benton Food Share’s Gleaners program and follows its guidelines and policies.
